WHO ARE CANDIDATES?

Candidates are patients with facial fullness and round faces, where the Bichat fat bag is prominent and produces a round face, in addition, it is convenient in these same patients when due to the protrusion of the fat towards the oral cavity, it generates trauma in the oral mucosa area due to cheek biting.

It is important to investigate the clinical history and facial diagnostic examination to determine the benefit of this surgery as not all patients are suitable.

HOW IS IT PERFORMED?

It is an outpatient procedure that does not require hospitalization. With local anesthesia, two small incisions are made inside the mouth at the level of the cheeks, through which the appropriate amount of fat tissue is extracted. The surgery is assisted with the best state-of-the-art technology, the diode laser, which cauterizes and makes hemostasis, reducing the possibility of postoperative bleeding and inflammation.

LASER BICHECTOMY

WHAT IS LASER BICHECTOMY?

It consists of the resection or removal of the fat bags of Bichat, located in the genian region (cheeks), below the cheekbones. In childhood, these bags are important during breastfeeding and subsequently they lose their volume, in some patients, the fat bags of Bichat maintain their size which generates round faces. In adulthood, these structures can be removed without any functional repercussion, so that the volume of the area decreases, thus stylizing the face.

BENEFITS OF LASER BICHECTOMY

The results achieved are spectacular, this surgery provides:

-Immediate results

-Definitive results

-Provides a more outlined face

-Can be performed with other procedures such as submentonian liposuction (double chin) or cervical and facial liposuction and mentoplasty, among others, as part of facial contouring.

-The laser bichectomy compared to the conventional bichectomy, allows excellent results and advantages, such as:

  • Less inflammation.

  • Less bleeding

  • Faster postoperative recovery.

  • minimal disability.

  • Greater definition

  • Faster final results
